Norma Augustine, Executive Assistant

Norma Augustine, as the SSO's Executive Assistant, plays a key role in the all aspects of the administration and organization of the Scleroderma Society's Office and organization.  There is nothing that occurs at the SSO that Norma does not play an integral role in.  We are lucky to have her at the nerve centre of this organization. Norma may be reached at:

Susan Docherty-Skippen, Scleroderma Patient Research Educator

Susan Docherty-Skippen, as the newest member of the Hamilton Scleroderma Group, is pleased to be working with the Scleroderma Society of Ontario and its members, in the role of Patient Research Educator.   To this position, she brings almost twenty years of education, clinical research coordination and scientific project supervision experience along with professional qualifications and degree certifications in biochemistry, education and clinical research.  Susan is passionate about helping others by using the skills and training she has acquired through her work supporting patients and families in the Department of Pediatrics at McMaster Children’s Hospital in Hamilton and throughout the Region.  Patients as well as their family and friends who are seeking information regarding scleroderma treatments and lifestyle choices that affect their daily lives, may contact Susan, who will act as an educational resource by liaising with a team of physicians and health care professionals involved in the care of patients with Scleroderma.  Susan will also provide up to date information about scleroderma support group meetings, access to patient care, educational events and conferences, entry into research studies, learning resources for patients/physicians/allied health professionals, as well as sample procurement for clinical research studies.  Susan may be reached at:
