General Membership (free):

One of the benefits of joining the Scleroderma Society of Ontario, is that members receive a free quarterly issue (spring, summer, fall and winter) of the SSO's information and educational newsletter, "The Scleroderma Reporter".  This newsletter features articles about people living with scleroderma, provides updates on scleroderma research, education and medical treatments, and highlights upcoming community public awareness and fund-raising activities in support of the scleroderma research and education. 

Other benefits of membership include access to information such as:

• Support group meetings to learn and share coping and management techniques for people with scleroderma and their families.
• Advocacy and guidance for people living with scleroderma who are find it difficult to access expert care.
• Educational literature and resources on a wide range of topics related to the care and treatment for people living with scleroderma.
• Patient education advice, reviewed by medical experts, regarding health care concerns and treatment options for people living with scleroderma
• Invitations to special events and educational seminars.
  
  

Voting Membership ($25.00 annual fee):

Voting members of the Scleroderma Society of Ontario receive all the same privileges and access to information as do general members.

Additionally, voting members will also receive:

• Invitation to participate in the development and business planning of the Scleroderma Society of Ontario through votes and suggestions.
• Opportunity to attend the Annual General Meeting with expert medical and scientific guest speaker, renowned for their research, patient care, advocacy and educational activity in the area of scleroderma. 
• Opportunity to network locally, regionally, provincially, nationally and internationally with others who are affected by scleroderma.
• Access to education, communication and networking opportunities with allied health professionals and other informed resource persons experienced in the expert care of people living with scleroderma.

Remember

Tax receipts will be issued for those who contribute a donation of $25.00 or more and wish to become a voting member of the Scleroderma Society of Ontario.  Voting membership fees are used to help build awareness, facilitate patient advocacy and access to care, improve public and patient education and support vital research in the area of scleroderma.
